This was the first year I decided to rank Kevin Durant ahead of LeBron James in my Fantasy Basketball Overall Rankings and what do I do? I go and jinx him! Durant had finished ahead of James in the Fantasy Basketball department for the past three seasons, but with the recent injury it looks like KD’s run may be over. If Durant does indeed miss 6-8 weeks because of a fracture in his foot, his stock dips, not much, but it takes a hit. James will now be the consensus number 1 pick, but don’t be surprised if Fake Ballers grab someone else at 1.

It’s King James at 2 for me. I could understand someone grabbing Anthony Davis or Stephen Curry with the first overall pick, but it’s hard to go against James, even with the move back home. He won’t distribute as much in Cleveland as he did in Miami, but LBJ has never played with a Point Guard as good as Kyrie Irving and he has never played with someone who could clean up at the rim like Kevin Love can. Curry finished as the second best Fantasy Basketball player last season and is my first ranked Point Guard heading into the 2014-15 Fantasy Basketball season, but I have Davis ahead of him overall.

I expect Davis to put up monster numbers as he enters into his third season in the NBA. Davis averaged 20.8 points per game to go along with 10.0 boards per game in his sophomore season. Davis had at least 10 rebounds in 36 of his 67 games and at least 20 points in 38 contests. Davis even hit the 40 point mark in a game to go along with 21 rebounds. How’s that for a night? Oh, and he loves blocks and assists.

Joakim Noah, Chris Bosh, Nikola Vucevic, Thaddeus Young and DeMar DeRozan take a jump up the Fantasy Basketball rankings from a year ago while Dwyane Wade, Deron Williams and Roy Hibbert take a step back. Nerlens Noel is my top Fantasy Basketball rookie, while Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins and Marcus Smart make for decent mid-round picks. I’m also expecting bounce-back seasons from Jameer Nelson and Luol Deng as both players switched uniforms in 2014-15. A move that makes them more valuable.
