Across the board, Jamie Benn is atop our Fantasy Hockey Left Wing Rankings. Benn is looking to improve on his 79 points in 81 games after showing great chemistry playing alongside Tyler Seguin in Dallas for the first time. Hard to top a season like that, but it’s clear our experts expect a very similar, if not better season from the Left Winger. If you miss out on Benn, Taylor Hall and Logan Couture are sure to satisfy owners as well as they come in at number 2 and 3 in our Left Wing Rankings.
Gabriel Landeskog and James van Riemsdyk climb up the Fantasy Hockey 2014-15 Rankings, while James Neal takes a stride back with his departure from Pittsburgh to Nashville.
Our top consensus rookie forward makes an appearance here in the Fantasy Hockey Left Wing Rankings as Jonathan Drouin cashes in at 37. Mike Omelan has the highest hopes for the Lightning forward at 31 while Chris Meaney ranks him at 48. Keep in mind Drouin is scheduled to miss at least the first week of the season with a fractured thumb. A few consensus spots later, Capitals rookie Evgeny Kuznetsov checks in. Some of our experts feel he could be in for the better season among rookie forwards. The Russian LW played 17 games with Washington last season and had nine points. Of course, there is that thought he could play with Ovechkin, at least on the power play.
Matt Moulson headed back to Buffalo, while Mike Cammalleri, Scott Hartnell, Brad Richards and Benoit Pouliot switched sweaters as well during the offseason. Keep an eye on possible deep sleepers such as rookie Left Winger Johnny Gaudreau and Carl Soderberg.
